Job PurposeThis role will be primarily responsible for the development, oversight, and management of operations and maintenance of the company-owned solar programs, as well as other various renewable programs (Solar, Energy Storage, Community Solar) across all NE jurisdictions.
Key AccountabilitiesEngage in multiple Phase 3 solar & energy storage capital projects simultaneously to completion/interconnection.
Collaborating with internal and external parties to accomplish long-term program success.
Lead development and implementation of O&M operations as solar and energy storage capital projects reach completion.
Support in various DER demonstration projects.
Explore how renewables can be part of complex Transmission and Distribution solutions.
Be a Company ambassador for renewable energy to outside organizations including working with local schools and university to promote STEM.
Develop and maintain a solid understanding of the business by staying abreast of industry trends and learning and sharing best practices.
Facilitate and lead National Grid solar outreach events and continuing education initiatives for renewable resources.
Perform site visits for visual inspections, installation verification, or contractor support and management during various stages of construction.
Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience RequiredAble to lead and supervise a project team or virtual teams to achieve business objectives.
QualificationsBachelors' degree in Engineering.

years of experience in a project management or engineering role.
Utility knowledge is preferred.
Must be a self-starter, creative and able to engage with large project teams Technical and construction knowledge with the design, permitting, construction management of capital projects, including the business and societal drivers for their implementation is desired.
Must understand electrical construction, renewable generation, industry standards, safety standards, and current design codes and be willing to work with subject-matter experts when necessary.
Understanding of wholesale and retail markets for energy, capacity, and renewable energy certificates is desirable.
Experience drafting contracts, filings, and RFPs; interfacing with legal and other departments.
Experience working independently on multiple simultaneous initiatives, including customer facing initiatives.
Possess valid driver's license with safe driving record.
Ability to work off-hours and must be willing to travel outside the division for storm related assignments.
