Summary:
The main function of a Field Service Technician is to facilitate maintenance and repairs of hardware and computer devices.
A Field Service Technician at this level will make judgements based on experience and may lead the work of others.
Job
Responsibilities:
Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals.
Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems.
Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups.
Trains employees, identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed.
Determines and recommends which products or services best fit the customers' needs.
Skills:
Strong communication and customer-service skills.
Expert knowledge of a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Problem-solving and analysis skills.
Leadership skills.
Creativity and latitude.
Education/
Experience:
Associate?s degree or its equivalent in the field or a related area preferred.
