Job PurposeThe Vulnerability Testing team is part of Vulnerability Management within the Security Team and supports the Security Team's global operations by identifying vulnerabilities and security issues via penetration testing assessments and identifying threats posing a genuine risk to National Grid via red team / purple team tests that replicate behaviors of threat actors, assessed by Government and commercial intelligence providers.
This information will enable National Grid to proactively adjust its defensive posture.
Key AccountabilitiesThe Senior Security Software Architect helps with the build & development activities within the Vulnerability Management function and helps drive continuous improvement, working alongside a motivated and capable team of Security Engineers.
They are also responsible for the quality of advice and guidance given to Technology teams.
This will include researching, engineering, implementing and operating enterprise security products.
This will also involve managing and improving platform security compliance, through automation, monitoring and alerting, SIEM integration, development and implementation of standards, procedures, and guidelines covering different platforms and devices.
Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience RequiredA technical mindset with great attention to detailTrain and guide staff on security procedures and protocol.
